Meet Nancy Jantz, owner of JantzArt MURALS.

Nancy believes that just as the sun colors the earth, so does art color life. Her versatile style and love of art are evident in all of her murals. Nancy offers specialized murals for almost every venue.

With a degree in Art Education from Bowling Green State University, Nancy taught art for a while, but her true passion was water color painting. After moving to Jacksonville, Florida twenty years ago, she established JantzArt MURALS to fulfill a dream that her art would make people happy. That dream has been realized again and again by the delighted reactions of adults and children to her many murals.

Her mural work began in model homes and rapidly grew to include day care centers, homes, businesses, hospitals, assisted living facilities and rehabilitation centers. Nancy also offers water color portraits of homes, calligraphy on walls, and acrylic portraits of family pets.

Among her credits, she volunteered to transform Jacksonville’s Wolfson Children’s Rehabilitation Services Drew Bradbury Center into a colorful, friendly place for the children and families. She was awarded the 2008 Art of Caring, Heart of Gold Award from Volunteer Jacksonville. In the lobby, Nancy painted a large cityscape mural of Jacksonville. She created an imaginative village in the hallways and welcoming entrances to the examining rooms.

I wanted to make the place shine and I chose themes that I knew would be fun for the children,” said Nancy. “It was fun watching the kids smile as I painted whimsical scenes of a pet store, ice cream shop, grandma’s house, and a zoo.”

Nancy’s murals have left their impressive mark in many other areas of Jacksonville, including:

  • Baptist Beach Hospital Emergency Room
  • University of Florida Pediatric Cardio Pulmonary Center
  • University of Florida Pediatric Developmental Center
  • University of Florida Call Center
  • Private homes and businesses
